Prioritizing emissions reduction

Africa is very rich in natural resources – specifically mining, oil and gas and agriculture. As a result, it also has many projects with high emissions intensity.

Key Markets

The Stats

Africa’s methane emissions have more than doubled since 1971 – rising from about 410,000 kt of CO2-eq. to nearly 1,000,000 kt of CO2-eq  in 2018.

At COP26, nearly two dozen African countries (including some of the continent’s biggest methane-producing nations) signed The Global Methane Pledge. Under this pledge, countries have committed to reduce their methane emissions by at least 30% from 2020 levels by 2030.

Leading the way in Methane Detection

A new perspective

Methane leak detection technology is changing the way we see and measure greenhouse gas emissions. It’s only by knowing what’s actually happening that organizations can take decisive action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Emissions Monitoring

Accurate, reliable and cost-effective monitoring of global greenhouse gas emissions: these unique high-resolution satellites can pin-point methane emissions down to individual facilities.

Industry leaders

No one else can do this. We combine our industry-leading satellite data with measurements from aerial surveys and recognized third-party datasets, to create customized, actionable emissions intelligence.

Quality Control

Avoid air quality issues by monitoring your assets and keeping methane in the sales line, not vented to the atmosphere.

Diverse testing

Detect, monitor, and measure methane emissions from oil and gas assets such as gas plants, well pads, and compression stations.

technology

Data technology accurately identifies methane gas emission sources to individual facilities from unlit flares to open thief hatches, supporting leak detection and repair (LDAR) activities, production operations and environmental reporting.

Working Partners

Princeton Consulting is headquartered in Calgary, Canada, home to the Canadian Oil and Gas industry.
